Reviewing “Rahar”: The Most Awaited Music Collab

Better late than never, “Rahar” is officially out now. For those who have no idea what I am talking about, embrace yourself and prepare to get enlightened. They are among the best in their respective domains, and here they come together with this rare musical masterpiece. It’s like one of those mythologies where different worlds come together for a moment and something extraordinary happens. Let’s call it one of the instances of “Linking the Myths”, hence this blog. Let me take the opportunity in reviewing “Rahar”, the most awaited music collab between Subani Moktan, Nawaj Ansari, and Vyoma. I couldn’t “not” write anything about this song. Plus, we have easy-to-play chords for those who want to get Subani’s melody on guitar strings. Read now. Thank me later!

Unexpected Yet Most Awaited Collab

Let’s be honest. We were not expecting this collab at all. Who could have thought that three artists from different walks of life would come up with this surprise in the first week of 2023? Nawaj has been doing his stuff from the USA while the two other gems are currently based in Nepal. But the best thing happens when you least expect it. We wanted something to blow our minds, musically. And the trio did the job perfectly.

If you have done some research, “Rahar” was already popular long before it was recorded. All thanks to Subani’s TikTok where she did a free verse challenge. It took a while to come out, but it was worth the wait. They didn’t let us down.

I grew up listening to Linkin Park and always appreciated the rap-melody coordination between Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington (also Jay-Z in Collision Course). Back in college, Nawaj and I always used to talk about that kind of collab among Nepali artists. That seemed far-fetched. But now I change my mind. With the musical talents of Subani, Nawaj, and Vyoma, impossible is nothing. All three did their parts with perfection. Kudos to the team.

Decoding “Rahar

I believe that there is a story behind every song. “Rahar” is no exception. It tells us a story. So what’s the story? We never know. It’s like reading “Bhagvaad Geeta”. You unearth a new story with every reading. Additionally, the respective verses of the artists make the song multidimensional. Is it a song about love? Or is it about betrayal? Anger? Remorse? I could write a book on this song if you ask me to, but I leave it to your wisdom to decode “Rahar”. Who do you assume you are in the song? Whose shoes yourself put on?

Dude… Where’s My Guitar?

For this part, I suggest you grab a guitar (yes, a real guitar!). I tried my best to decode the chords for “Rahar” song to the best of my ability. Subani’s part sounds awesome with guitar strums. But you could still go along with rap verses as well. Let’s get started!

Please let me know if there are any mistakes in the chord arrangements. There’s always room for improvement.
