If you are one of us 90s kids, then you must know who or what I am talking about here. Most of the Millennials grew up listening to Atomic Bush in their college years. Atomic Bush started out as an underground, progressive rock band back in 2005, and we lived to witness their biggest hit “Sano Prakash” and many others. However, after doing some gigs mostly with KTMRocks and releasing their only album P Jam, the band took a break. But better late than never, something big is happening again. Is Atomic Bush getting back together? Thank you for the question.
What Happened to Atomic Bush?
The decision to split up the legendary band was due to the conflict of interests among the band members. Each of them had bigger ambitions. Sunny Tuladhar started his own line of custom guitars as ST Custom Guitars which he uses for his gigs. Bibhusan Basnet kept himself busy with filmmaking as well as music. Sunny, Rajan, and Abhishek from Atomic Bush formed Jindabaad with talented Rohit Shakya and Kiran Shahi. NEW UPDATE on Atomic Bush!
Atomic Bush is definitely getting back together, this time for sure. They are working on the comeback album, and Bibhushan Basnet even played a few lines from the song “Jhilimili” as treat to the fans.

Is Atomic Bush Getting Back Together?
Back to the trillion dollars question. Is Atomic Bush getting back together? Based on Sunny Tuladhar’s Instagram post, we can expect to hear something from the legendary band Atomic Bush very soon in 2023. You can also see that Atomic Bush is officially on Instagram now. Furthermore, Sunny Tuladhar posted stories on his Instagram where he hinted that Atomic Bush rehearsals were going on, after 18 years. It’s a no-brainer that the band is cooking something. Even a 5th grader can tell that! Which grade are you on?
It’s expected that the band will come up with something within March. The fans are really excited about this most-awaited reunion after 18 years. God Damn, if you were born when the band had split up, you would be eligible to be a citizen by now. You’d better call yourself Sano Prakash.
All the band members, viz. Sunny Tuladhar, Bibhusan Basnet, Abhishek Bhadra, Rajan Shrestha, and Alec Sciamma are back together to revive Atomic Bush once again. Bibhusan Basnet looks like a wise, modern-day sage. Well, Sunny Tuladhar still looks the same. Tom Cruise should take some advice from our Sunny Dai on how to stay and look young forever. And, of course, there are some gray beards in the band. They haven’t grown older. They have become wiser.
Final Words
Atomic Bush is one of the few underground bands that shook the Nepalese Rock Music horizon and became more popular than many other mainstream bands. I can’t even remember other contemporary bands from the first decade of the 21st century. But Atomic Bush never faded away from our hearts and minds. We wanted more of them. And they didn’t let us down. It’s only a matter of time before Atomic Bush officially reunites again and fires up the crowd and the stage.
Are you ready to rock? Are you ready for some crazy headbangs?
